If we are unwilling to respond to the urge to make a valuable contribution, then this human survival mechanism works a hole in our psyche. We become more and more dysfunctional and disruptive and out of sorts. We act out. Our behavior may even become offensive to others.
The failure to find a worthy place or role within which to express our essential nature can become, over time, a deep-seated sense of low self-respect, demoralization, frustration, and worthlessness.
If uncorrected, this chronic situation can cause physical pains and discomforts, disease, depression, and hopelessness.
A detachment or absence of expression of our Real Core Values Self causes a sense of purposelessness, meaninglessness; a psychological assessment of zero value to self and others.
At the functional normal life level this creates spiritual agitation to pursue our own life; to further discover and then to express who we are through meaningful workâmaking a meaningful and valuable contribution.
